"Inspired at an early age by an artist grandfather to paint only from life, I am drawn to plain-air painting.  I try to capture the essence of that moment, being out there in the fresh air, in all weather, trying to translate feelings and impressions onto the canvas.  I am drawn more to the intimate landscape.  I must paint.  I hope my work brings as much joy to those who view it as it does to me in creating it."
