While growing up in the small town of Fordyce, Arkansas, Robert confesses to opening one particular Christmas present early: his first 35mm SLR camera. "With more than a sneaking suspicion of what was in that package, I unwrapped it, shot two rolls of film and then re-wrapped the camera with my parents none the wiser. Needless to say, my excitement on Christmas morning remained genuine, and is still a vital part of each new image I produce."

                      He began taking scenic pictures of Colorado and the American West almost two decades before making Colorado his home in 1992. It was there that he met and married his wife, Kathy, who provides companionship and assistance in the field. Capturing the moment with both forethought and spontaneity, his most recent photographs are vibrant evidence of this ongoing partnership with his beloved back country. "I view the beauty and diversity of the natural world as a gift from the Creator, and I find great pleasure in sharing my experiences in nature with others through photography."

                      Robert's photographs have been published in various national periodicals, in calendars, greeting cards, and as posters. His photographic prints adorn the walls of homes and offices across America and overseas.
