Bev Lee P.S.A.

Bev is a signature member of the Pastel society of America.  Light and color are the inspirations fro her paintings.  Her favorite subjects are people, animals and still lives.  Her work has a distinctive style that captures both emotion and realism.

 

She has studied at Mesa State College in Grand Junction, CO and Colorado Mountain College in Steamboat Springs, CO.  She has also taken workshops with Doug Dawson, Terry Ludwig, and Xiang Zhang.  She paints in pastels and oils as they both suit her style and technique of layering on of rich, vibrant color.

 

Bev has been juried into numerous competitions, and has received many awards including several “Best of Show” and “People’s Choice”.  Her works are in both private and corporate collections around the country.  She also has had works published in the May 2002 Pastel Artist International Magazine and the November 2003 Artist Magazine.

 

Her desire is to inspire others to a love of art and if, even for a moment, be able to remove the stresses of everyday life.  In her paintings, she aims to create an appreciation for life and the joy it can hold.
